Things to do in Milna: Beaches and sports opportunities
If you would like to swim and sunbathe in a peaceful environment, we particularly recommend the beaches in Milna; as they are less known by the public, you don’t have to worry about the crowd. The best choices include Makarac on the western coast or Salbunara located opposite Šolta Island. Both have a pebbly beach and slowly deepening waters. If you visit the town, you won’t be disappointed by Pasikova, Maslinova, Osibova, and Vlaska either.
The beaches, which have crystal clear waters, are facing the south, so they are perfectly protected from the northern winds. As for watersports, scuba-diving and sailing are definitely worth trying here. Land sports that you can do here include football, beach volleyball, basketball, table tennis or bocce; the latter is a traditional Dalmatian sport recommended for any age group.

The main sights to see in town
There are several decorative manors and other breathtaking buildings in the port of Milna. Most of them originate in Venetian times. The main sights include the Baroque St. Mary of the Assumption Church built-in 1783. The building has a lavishly ornamented facade and an interior with giant columns and bright spaces. It is decorated with the most beautiful altarpiece on the entire island of Brač, and the carved tombstones that we see here were made by the famous Croatian sculptor Ivan Rendić. There are two giant palm trees standing outside, giving an even more unique look to the church. It is recommended to visit the castle Anglešćina located above the port, built by the Cerinić family for protection. Due to its characteristics, the building was later transformed into a residential building.
