The Northern-Dalmatian town’s most popular beach is Slanica. It is an ideal place for youngsters, but thanks to its slowly deepening waters, we also recommend it to families with children. Kornati National Park

The Kornati National Park can be found near the southwestern part of Dugi Otok; it is among the most beautiful national parks in Croatia. Besides the natural treasures, the archipelago is also unique for its Illyrian castles and ruins of Roman villas. Žut

Žut, which has a territory of 15 km2, can be found between Pašman and Kornat. It is one of the most wonderful members of the Kornati archipelago, famous for the olive plantations and the high-quality olive oil. Its steep, divided beach is surrounded by several bays that provide a safe shelter for fishing boats and sailboats. In the bay of Žut, there is also a yacht marina offering 120 berths and a restaurant.

Pašman Island

Even though Pašman, located under the island of Ugljan, might be less-known, it is still a great sailing destination. If you are here, you should definitely climb the 272-metre-high mountain of Veli Bokolj to visit the scenic overlook on top. You can see the entire archipelago from up there. You can also admire many vineyards, olive plantations and orchards on the verdant island of Pašman. The southernmost town on the islands is Tkon, which is famous for the Benedictine monastery of St. Cosmas and Damian – the only operational Benedictine monastery in Croatia. It stands on the 95-metre-high hill Ćokovac. Interestingly, the monastery was built on the foundations of a Byzantine fort and an early Christian church in 1125.

The Catholic Church of Saint Michael, built-in 1770, is famous for its wonderful Baroque altar. The Church of St. Roch, which was built-in 1760, is located on the mountain of Vršina behind the town.
